Kirsten Sedgewick
BDS (Manc)
Kirsten joined Church Lane Dental Practice in August 2002. Having grown up in Middleton she was
pleased to be back in North Manchester serving the community there. She has an interest in
education and training and supporting patients to understand the value of preventative dentistry.
She takes special interest in improving smiles. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, walking,
reading, art and socialising. She has a daughter and 2 cats.
Rick Pym
BDS (Manc)
Rick graduated from Manchester and has worked in several practices across the region over the years before returning to Church Lane Dental Practice. He is our most experienced member of the team. He is passionate about NHS Dentistry and deeply committed to providing the best patient care. In his spare time he enjoys travelling, cooking and most sports.
Connie Dumville
Dental Care Professional, Head Receptionist
Connie joined Church Lane Dental Practice in 1993, she is a highly motivated and hard working
individual and is an asset to our team. Over the years she has worked in surgery but is now head
receptionist. Connie takes pride in caring for patients and making their visit as comfortable as can
be. She enjoys helping the younger members of the team and does her best to support them.
Outside of work she enjoys going to the gym, walking her dog Arthur and socialising with family and
friends.
Sophia Pinna
Dental Care Professional
Sophia joined Church Lane Dental Practice as a trainee 9 years ago, she went on to qualify in 2013
and was awarded a NVQ level 3 with City & Guilds. Sophia loves working at the practice and truly
feels like part of a team here. She thinks its refreshing to work somewhere that genuinely cares
about the quality of treatment that is provided to patients. In her spare time Sophia likes spending
time with family and friends.
Michael Maryniak
BDS (Manc)
Michael graduated from Manchester in 2020. Following undergraduate study Michael undertook his
foundation training at Blackley Dental Practice under Dr Sun Ku. In 2021 Michael joined us at Church
Lane. He likes to utilise a relaxed and friendly approach towards his patients and dentistry. He feels
this enables him to excel at building good lasting and more personal relationships with his patients.
Michael is passionate about his work which has led him to develop an enthusiasm for oral surgery
and aesthetic dentistry. He is currently enrolled to complete a diploma in oral surgery (PGDip). Also
in addition to this he is in the process of obtaining his membership to the Faculty of Dental Surgery
(MFDS) OF THE Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Outside of work Michael spends his time
socialising with friends, exercising and travelling when possible. He is also passionate about
motorsport and owns a motorbike, which he loves to take out on weekend rides.

Amandy Daly
Dental Care Professional, Head Nurse
Amanda started at Church Lane Dental practice in 1991, over the years she has gained vast
experience and learnt many different aspects of dentistry. She takes great pleasure in sharing this
knowledge and helping the younger members of the team. Amanda has always had a great
relationship with the patients and enjoys getting to know many of them over the years. When
Amada isn’t working she enjoys walking, swimming and good food.
Alana Taylor
Dental Care Professional
Alana joined Church Lane Dental practice in 2018 as a trainee dental nurse, she qualified in June
2020 with a level 3 NVQ in dental nursing. She enjoys working as part of a team in surgery and
reception. Alana enjoys getting to know the patients and providing care and support. Outside of
work she likes eating out shopping and spending time with family and friends.
Bally Bhogal
BDS(Manc) Hons, MFDS RCS ED
Bally graduated from Manchester in 2020 before undertaking her foundation training. She has completed a diploma in Endodontics through Simply Endo and now works across two practices in Greater Manchester. She offers both general dentistry and root canal treatment, working as a dentist with a special interest in Endodontics. She is happy to take referrals. She loves her patients and takes great pride in helping ensure everyone she treats to have the best oral health.
Janine Bratby
Practice Manager, Dental Care Professional
Janine is responsible for the day to day running at Church Lane. She joined Church Lane Dental
Practice in January 1999, Janine has experience in working in a busy NHS practice and has managed
Church Lane Dental Practice for 23 years since joining the practice. She thoroughly enjoys getting to
know the patients and putting their needs first. Janine leads the team to provide the best effective
care for our patients. Outside of work, Janine likes to spend time socialising with her friends and
family, travelling abroad and shopping.
Layla Memarian
Dental Care Professional, Infection Control Lead
Layla Joined Church Lane Dental Practice as a trainee 10 years ago, she qualified in 2013 and in 2014
completed a post qualification in Oral Health. Layla really enjoys working at Church Lane Dental
Practice as it’s a warm and friendly place for staff and patients. Outside of work Layla enjoys
spending time with family and friends and eating out.
Leah Coghlan-Roles
Trainee Dental Care Professional
Leah joined Church Lane Dental Practice in 2021 as a trainee dental nurse as well as attending
Oldham College to gain her qualification in dental nursing.
